• Immanuel Kant, Fundamental Principles of the Metaphysic of Morals (selections)
• John Stuart Mill, Utilitarianism (selections)

Write and post your answers to:

• Study Questions for Kant
• Study Questions for Mill

(Your responses to these SQs will be posted into the SQs folder in our classroom.)

In the Class Discussions folder you’ll discuss these two items:

• what you understand to be the differences between how these two Philosophers think about how we decide what is right and wrong
  
• how their quite different approaches might apply to the two situations (torture & suicide) we’ve been discussing.
